When having a massage at home, if at all possible try to book your appointment when you know your household will be fairly quiet.
Ideally you should book your massage on a day where you have little to do, or at least make sure that you have finished work for the day and have run all of your errands beforehand.
Often people feel lethargic and sleepy afterwards and having a bath is a nice way to finish off the treatment rather than having to rush off to do something.
If you do need to plan things around your massage, allow yourself at least 20minutes either side of the booking in order for you to change clothes, and in the case of a mobile massage for the table to be set up and put away.
Similarly, if you exercise regularly it makes sense to have your workout session before the massage. Massage is an excellent compliment to exercise in helping your muscles to recover, but it would be counterproductive to try to do it the other way around!
By taking these factors into consideration, you will undoubtedly gain more from your massage experience.
